A new build rural property came with a brief from our client for a warm open family kitchen in a contemporary country style. Highly functional yet surprisingly intimate, the choice of Farrow&Ball colours Bone and Scree give both a contrast and warmth, highlighted by the mood pendant lighting. The design is kept light and elegant with white Quartz worktops and taupe ceramic floor tiles. A large central island provides both an informal dining and seating area, and ample space for food preparation. Storage throughout the project is extensive, with the addition of a large full height wine rack, and 3/4 height worktop mounted larder cabinet. The extractor mantle provides a key element of the design, adding visual interest and character to the room.
