Charming Country Kitchen, East Midlands, October 2019

This charming country kitchen was designed to carefully sit within the existing space and enhance the feeling of height and spaciousness offered by the high vaulted ceiling and character Oak beams. Our client had very specific requirements for the functionality of the furniture, with many Bespoke items being manufactured specially by Lewis&Hill for this project. Corner quadrant mouldings echo the form of existing original plasterwork window reveals and soften the feel within the kitchen, whilst a large I-Control AGA with chimney mantle provides a warm and inviting centrepiece. Tumbled Limestone floor tiles add practicality and character laid in a classic Roman pattern and the central island houses an additional integrated oven and provides and informal seating and dining area.
